Sharing a project with the right people

Choose access for the work ahead

Viewers can read project information and export documents they can access. Editors can maintain project content. Workspace owners manage members and workspace settings. Start with the access someone needs for their current responsibility and review it when that responsibility changes.

Keep project context within the workspace

Check the document owner and workspace before sharing a resource. A link does not grant membership in another workspace. For a handover, use a short overview that names the people responsible and links to the resources they are allowed to read.

Review access at each milestone

Project launches, team changes and completed contracts are useful moments to review membership. Our permissions guide explains the roles in more detail and includes a checklist for workspace owners.
